Ridgeway Trail Partnership Update

We are pleased to form part of the group now charged with taking forward new arrangements for management and enhancement of The Ridgeway National Trail. A re-organised Oxfordshire Countryside department will continue to look after the Trail and volunteer scheme through a transition period, and probably thereafter. A new Ridgeway Trail Partnership, with membership open to principal stakeholder organisations as well as the local authorities concerned, will take responsibility from 1st April next year for the Trail’s management and development, and will aim to enhance and promote it, and to strengthen links with other countryside attractions. We shall be considering how The Friends of The Ridgeway can best contribute to this new structure.
