In the spring issue of our newsletter, we look at this year’s highly successful Swire Ridgeway Arts Prize Exhibition. Wiltshire MP Danny Kruger recently spoke in the House of Commons in favour of amending the law so as to get more public rights of way protected from “4x4s, quad bikes and off-road vehicles”.  Janice Bridger describes Endurance Riding – on horseback – on the Ridgeway. Uffington Museum has a special exhibition and associated walks in memory of a WWII bomber crew that died after a mid-air collision over the nearby downs. The downs also feature in the upcoming Walking Festivals in the Chiltern and NWD National Landscapes, and in the Uptonogood? Mountain Bike Festival, and we look at the extensive coverage of the North Wessex Downs and Ridgeway in a recent edition of BBC Countryfile. We sadly said ‘farewell’ to outgoing Volunteer Coordinator Lucy Duerdoth and Ridgeway Officer Sarah Wright. Finally, an introduction to the The Minimalist Photography Facebook page.
